Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
The audible devices such as back-up alarms or motion alarms generate sound that has to be loud enough in order to be heard above the noise which the forklift makes in the operating place.
The sound needs to be readily discernible from other audible devices or noises within the work setting. Sound must be readily distinguishable from other sound or audible devices within the work place. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care should be taken.
Determine the distance and direction the sound of the audible device is made more difficult due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices can sometimes get disabled from both operators and employees because they could find them really annoying. Additionally, audible devices can also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They use tempered glass so as to avoid injuries. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. Noise levels are reduced at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each specific application, the operator is able to choose the performance requirement. Additionally, it allows a supervisor to set the unit's maximum performance for an operator who is just beginning to learn. Being able to adjust and reduce the maximum performance of the model allows a new operator to learn the operating features of the machine in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor deactivates the model and when this occurs, it needs a supervisor to re-enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These specific mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
