CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Each day the company strives to help their consumers reach their objectives and deliver value since they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. Both these units are often hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for tasks that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Since the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units come in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as gas, diesel or propane configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects within the work environment.
In order to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is required prior to utilizing boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to require a lot more man power to be done in a much shorter time period. These equipment have really increased productivity and have revolutionized the material handling business.
