Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are better in situations requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift will usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to hoist staff. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
