A lift truck to be a successful unit must be built powerful to last the working conditions for numerous hours of use. It must be able to transport loads quickly and effectively as well. The equipment should be both comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator too.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and reliable. The powertrain needs the power to constantly provide great durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with really tough shafts and robust gears. The drive, steer axle, transmission and engine are all isolated to reduce vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda Gas & LP Engines:
GM's gas engines and Mazda's LP engine utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These types of equipment offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimum adjustment or repair. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Within the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides excellent torque. Amazing fuel consumption is offered by effective fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The regular Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15% stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available which automatically adjusts so as to lessen maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to extend the life of the tires, to eliminate shock loading and increase durability. What's more, the auto deceleration feature lessens both break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is designed for added strength with its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This particular component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are practically maintenance free and completely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
To protect the steer cylinder for debris and damage, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods which can add extra durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Additionally, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included lots of safety features and ergonomic features. These machinery will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
